TYVM

It's Free Therapy Day!! That's right, it's Thursday, which means it's the Thank You Very Much day. The way it works is that you take out all your frustrations on people/things that peeved you off during the week and thank them in a very sarcastic way, for being who or what they are/doing what they did.

Thank you very much to my 4th grader who cannot do independent work that I feel like I have to hold your hand in everything. I love you don't get me wrong. I'm glad I can be of help to you but its time consuming and frustrating.

Thank you very much to the 15 year old for wrecking our summer only to come and find out that it isn't me she has a issue with but her dad. Because of your drama we had the most WONDERFUL summer ever. Woo!

Thank you very much to the 12 year old who leaves big messes for me to clean up. Last I checked I was not your maid but your mother. Woo oh yeah totally makes me want to give you an allowance come Friday!

Thank you very much to my FIL who blames me for all the family drama that goes on here. Saying to the 15 year old if it wasn't for me certain things would not have happened. Stop using me as a scapgoat. I am not to blame. So get off your horse. I so love your smile and your kiss. Give me more, more, more.

Thank you very much dear husband of mine. Ha. I think you are a great guy but I don't think you realize how insenstive you can be at times. Tap into your femine side on occassion. Thank you very much for REALLY listening to me. Yep you were TOTALLY there!

Thursday Thunks

I found this in my blog hopping earlier today. At first I thought it was misspelled and it was suppose to be Thursday Thinks. But anyways this looked like fun so I figured I'd participate!

101. When was the last time you went to the doctor? Do you like your doctor?
The last time I went to the doctor? Well I think it was in April or so. I can't remember. Yes I like my doctor.

201. My back is itching, will you scratch it for me?
Depends on who you are. But sure why not.

301. Do you have nice handwriting?
I think so. Defintly do not think its a doctor's scrawl.

401. We are sending you to either New Zealand or Canada, which one do you choose?
New Zealand!

501. Do you sing in the shower?
Nope

601. Have you ever been streaking? If so, how far did you streak and did anyone see you?
No never gone streaking.

701. How soon is too soon for Christmas decorations and music playing in the stores?
Hahaha. I think anything Christmas related should wait until after Thanksgiving. By the time Christmas comes around I'm sick of anything Christmas.

801. If you celebrated Halloween as a kid what was the costume you wore at 5?
I don't know how old I was and I don't think I was 5 but the only costume I remember wearing when I was a kid was my barbie costume. Well make that two. I was a punk rocker to.

901. How many cavities have you had in your life?
Ha. I inherited bad teeth from my mother and father. My younger sister on the other hand has never had a cavity. No fair!

1001. Berleen and Bud come to Arizona to visit Kimber. Who do you think will decide it's too hot here first?
I don't know! That's probably a lame answer but that's the best I can do with this being my first time doing this meme.

1101. Who do you think will ask TT questions next week?
I'm going to go with Kimber.

30 Days Of Insight Day 28

Day 28- A moment you remember being completely happy in and a description of why you believe you were. What is your definition of happiness?

My happiest day for me was when I got married. In my head I always thought I'd be alone and that no one would want me. The reason why I thought that was because I was a single mom with a 2 year old kid. That alone is baggage and not everyone wants to tackle that. But my husband was willing to do that. But than again I was willing to take on his two kids that were 5 and 6 at the time. I was happy because I finally felt I was at home and it was with him. When we were saying our vows we wrote our own. I remember saying this to him. "I found him, him who my soul loves." Even with all our ups and downs and times when I feel like I just want to walk out the door and give up, I do truly love him with all of my soul.

My defintion of happiness? Food on the table. A roof over my head. Money to pay for things. And my family with me. Family doesn't nessicarly include blood but friends that have proven they are my family.

In fact, in a week I'll be going to Vegas to see my friends that I count as family. One in particular has been such a support to me. Its been a year and a half since I've seen her. It will be good to be around her again.

But really happiness is what you make of it. You don't have to be the richest or have everything to be happy.

30 Days of Insight Day 29

Day 29- What you live for.

The first thing that comes to mind when I read that statement is I live for Christ, others and than myself. I remember when I was in college we were taught the acronyms of J. O. Y. Jesus, Others, Yourself. This is what I strive to do in my everyday life. Of course I'm going to have my bad days where I might even not act  Christ like cause something has set me off and I may be in a bad mood where my temper shows. But the way I see it it only means you are only human and you just try again. Thank goodness we always have a new day. I always attempt to be there for others or give of myself to others. But again I'm going to have those days where I will be selfish and just stay in my shell and in my own world. I am attempting to treat myself better and I have realized that I matter. If you don't take care of yourself you can't show others Christ and you defintly can't be a help of others. Of course that is all my opinon.

30 Days Of Insight Day 30

I'm behind on these 30 day blog meme's and what nots I figured I'd attempt to knock some out as I have the time and brain for it. For now. Hahaha. Remember I don't follow these in order but I try to give credit when I can etc.

Day 30- Ways you believe you have grown over the past thirty days.

I am going to answer this a little different since I wasn't consisent in following this in order. I think my blog has changed  in the last 30 days because I have been more active with it. I originally started this blog in 2007 but really had done nothing with it. Sometimes I feel like I still don't do much with it. But I have found I use it as an outlet or an attempt to share a part of my world with others. And of course I love the blog hops I have found and the Meme's. I have even tried the giveaways but I haven't decided if they are for me or not. I've even tried my hand in advertising. So I guess I'm still feeling my way around.

In my real life (not blog writing) I have defintly had my ups and downs and roller coasting. But I am optimistic that the 30 days of drama that I have experienced will be gone now. But really is one's life ever drama free when you have kids and two of them are teenagers? Remember when you were a teen? Yeah, thought so!

I originally found this Meme over here.

For The Love Of 4

Its blog hopping time! I love these hops. I have found a lot of great blogs doing this. And to me I find them fun.

Wobble Over Wednesday

A blog hop I'm participating in :)

Facebook Likes

I love to be on the computer. I guess that is a given since I also keep a blog. I ran across this post from

Photobucket

She talks about what our Facebook likes tell about us. I have to laugh cause I have an obnoxious number of likes in fact it sits at 680. What can I say playing on the computer destresses me. Anyways she had picked her top 10 favorite. For me I'm going to do top 10 random and attempt to explain why I liked it. Here goes!

1. Red Baron Pizza http://www.facebook.com/?sk=ru&ap=1#!/redbaronpizza?ref=sgm
I am pretty certain I liked that well I have pre teens and teens and they will eat pizza three times a day. And I'm always for the look out for cheap or coupons for things that my family likes.

2. Frugal Mom Knows Best http://www.facebook.com/?sk=ru&ap=1#!/pages/Frugal-Mom-knows-Best/135583629413
In my quest to better provide for my family with a 1 income I'm always looking for frugal tips and ideas. I am certain I followed this page and liked it for this reason. She also has a blog and can be found here! http://www.frugalmomknowsbest.com/

3. Ordinary Inspirations http://www.facebook.com/?sk=ru&ap=1#!/pages/Ordinary-Inspirations/115080695185639?v=wall
I also try to follow Christian blogs when I can. I figured if they can encourage me, I can encourage them. This is a blog about a woman who is both Mom and Wife. You can find her blog here. http://www.ordinaryinspirations.blogspot.com/

4. Bob Harper http://www.facebook.com/?sk=ru&ap=1#!/mytrainerbob
What can I say? I'm a Biggest Loser fan though I haven't watched the new season yet. Its waiting in my dvr. I'll eventually get to it.

5. Oh Amanda http://www.facebook.com/?sk=ru&ap=1#!/ohamandablog
She is another blog that I follow. I try to support all my blogging friends the best way I can. By following them on GFC if they have it on their blog. As well as any twitter or facebook links they may give. Another cool thing about following pages such as this it gives you a glimpse of what they are posting in their blog in case you missed a posting.

6. The Mentalist http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=686270506#!/TheMentalist
One of my favorite shows! But yet I'm behind and have not watched the new season yet. That's probably why I liked it so I could stay up to date with what is going on with it.

7.Mafia Wars http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=686270506#!/MafiaWarsFans
I have a confession to make. I love this game. I know its silly and time wasting but I still enjoy it. Truth be told I'm getting a little burned out from it. I most likely liked it so I could get extra points or something.

8. Avon http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=686270506&v=wall#!/pages/Avon/7804979660
I am a Avon rep and I liked this to stay in the know of what is going on there.

9. True Blood http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=686270506&v=wall#!/TrueBlood
I did tell you that I'm a tv addict. One of my other shows I love to watch. It only comes on in the summer and its played on HBO. Pretty certain you can get episodes of it thru Netflix though.

10. Revive Our Hearts http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=686270506&v=wall#!/ReviveOurHearts
I had never heard of this program until I came across it in my blog hopping. See? I learn things from you all. I hope you all learn things from me to.

Anyways if you have read all thru my list I thank you. It was fun to see what kind of interests I have Facebook style.

Wandering Wednesday

Catch A Wave Wednesday

Blogging Hints Catch a Wave Wednesday

Whatcha Say Wednesday

1. Now that all the T.V. shows have started up again, what are your favorite shows?
Hahahaha. My dvr and I are best friends. I keep it full all the time. I love tv. I watch so much tv its a addiction.
Some of my favorites though are. Castle, Sons of Anarchy, NCIS, Supernatural. I'm starting to like the new shows to. I've watched Hawai Five O twice now. Nikita is one that is a keeper to.

2. What are you guilty of doing while you are driving or in the car?
I am actually a old stooge when it comes to driving. My hands are on the wheel and I'm trying to pay attention to the road. The only thing I've done is change the radio station and I JUST started picking up my drink or sandwich when I'm driving. Now if I'm the passanger anything goes!

3. Would you rather have the superpower to be invisible or read minds?
Read minds. I still have this big hang up of people's opinons of me matter. So I'd love to know what they are thinking so I can prepare myself if its negative!

Bonus!

Is there ever a day that mattresses aren't on sale?
Hahahaha. Yeah I always hear the Sleep Train ad on the radio when I'm dropping the kids off to school.

Random Dozen

So I'm doing this a little early in my time zone as my day will be busy tomorrow! Just pretend this was written at Midnight PST. Hey its way past that time on the East Coast!

1. Do you believe, somewhere deep inside, that blondes do indeed have more fun? That they are "dumber" than brunettes or redheads? Be honest!
No. I think its more of a personality thing than what color your hair is. You could be a brunette and act like a 'airhead.'

2. Which animal would you most like to observe in its wild habitat?
The lion. I think probably because of all the C.S. Lewis books I read as a kid. The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, for example. And the movies that came along with it.

3. This week the U.N. announced that Dr. Mazlan Othman has been appointed the official "Alien Ambassador," should any extraterrestrials contact us. Have you, or has anyone you know, ever seen a UFO?
No not that I know of. I don't think those are true and most of the time are people's imaginations or its explainable about what they have seen.

4. Name your favorite Hitchcock film.
I really don't watch Hitchcock and the only movie title I can think of on top of my head is 'The Birds.'

5. Would you rather spend time at the library, the mall, a craft store or home?
How about the least amount of time I would spend is at the mall. Though I did spend the whole day there once. But I would rather spend my time at home first, library second and than craft store third.

6. Which Disney princess is your favorite? (Or Disney character, if you are a guy)
I love them all! Hard to say. But if you asked me what Disney fairy I liked I would tell you Tinkerbelle!

7. What kind of art is your favorite?
Any where a person can express themselves. But I seem to be drawn to drama and as far as I am concerned that is a form of art. And no not the kind of drama that people do amongst themselves but plays and monologues you can watch on stage.

8. How do you feel about viral videos, that is, videos made by amateurs that end up on Youtube receiving thousands of hits?
Hey if it makes a person happy who am I to judge?

9. Where do you buy your jeans?
Ha. I don't really wear jeans. I'm either in shorts or capris. I can't remember where I have bought jeans. I think at Kohl's or Target. Maybe even Walmart. I'm not a fancy store kind of person.

10. Tell me about your first automobile accident.
I've answered a similar question at a earlier time so I'll share a slightly different story where I was the driver. I was coming home visiting some friends and it was raining. I hit a puddle on the highway and hydroplane where I ended up on the top of the bank of a river with my baby girl in the carseat who happened to be sleeping at the time. She was probably no more than a year old or about to be a year. Needless to say I had a sherieff that gave me attitude cause I was in shock and he thought I was ignoring him. I had to get a new tire so I could drive the rest of the way home which was still a few hours more. I was on pins and needles. From that day on I don't like to drive in the rain or long distance as a result.

11. Have you ever been honest when you knew you would benefit more if you would be dishonest?
I like to believe I'm always honest no matter the consquence.

12. If you were appointed "Ambassador to Aliens," what would you show and tell first about life on Earth? What would be the most difficult thing to explain?
That even if there is bad found on earth there is good also. That in tradedgy (911) the people will come together to help each other out. I think the most difficult thing to explain would be how at the same time we have a homeless issue and people starving in our country. Its like a catch 22. We try to help where we can but its not enough and still people suffer.

Top 2 Favorite Songs...

1. I Knew I Loved You Before I Met You by Savage Garden-This was the song that I walked in on when I was getting married. And when I went to the hosptial to have my boy this song was playing on the loudspeaker. So this song has a lot of signfiance to me.

2. Held by Natalie Grant-I had never heard of this singer or song until I came across it in my blog hopping. And now? Yeah its one of my favorite songs. I don't know how to explain it. Just listen.

Bonus: When my grandmother died my sister played this song at her memorial. Our grandmother raised us so this song was very apporiate This song is pretty popular but because my grandmother was Korean it was especially signifiacant we could find a Korean singer that did this song. You Raise Me Up-Lena Park

Hoo Are You?

NightOwlCrafting

1. List 3 words that remind you of fall.
pumpkins, leaves, halloween

2. Do you wear jewelry often?
No. But I wear my wedding rings and birthstone ring most days of the week.

3. Do you like your toe nails painted or natural?
It depends on my mood but its mostly been natural.

4. Do you ever wear a hat?
Very rarely. And when I do its one of those knit hats cause I'm cold

5. Do you have someone that you talk to everyday on the phone?
No but I defintly text folks!

Remember

this?

My daughter thinks I'm weird for doing this but I just had to show folks. Today this is what it turned into. In other words this is what you do when your in the van waiting for your 4th grader to be done with school and you have your Iphone and your grossed out by your foot. Hehehe.

Window Shopping The Become Way

I am certain that people wish they had millions of dollars to spend on their wish list or how I like to call it dream list.  One cool thing about the internet is that you can do that from your own computer seat. Or should I say computer screen?

I've always enjoyed being able to look at things online that I may not nessicarly have thought of before. I have built countless lists of things I dream of. Anywhere from beauty products, scrapbooking, books to household furnishings. One place I'll be making a list from is http://www.become.com/

From what I can see in browing thru there they have quite a variety of things to be found! Wow. I like that you can compare different prices on things from a variety of store links that Become has all in one place for you. So you don't have to do all the searching yourself. I love this site's motto. Become Shopping Your Way.

Here let me show you what I am talking about. For example, check this out. http://home-and-garden.become.com/glass-top-dining-table  They let you compare prices of different glass top dining tables from different sites. Now what frugal shopper doesn't like that? I also love that they give you a photo to check out . Because as the saying goes a picture is a thousand words. I like the second to last dining room table set. Especially the bases. I'd go with the black one because I like dark colors.

Anyways going on. If your not into glass top dining room tables on the Become site (http://www.become.com/
You should check out the choices they have in round coffee tables. http://www.become.com/round-coffee-table Right now our coffee table is used more as a picture holder since I love to take pictures. If I were to replace our coffee table I'd go with the second one on the list. The black one. Its unique. It kind of reminds me of a Asian rice bowl. Always had a fondness for anything Asian.

One last thing that caught my eye while I was dreaming and browsing was this. http://home-and-garden.become.com/plug-in-chandelier  %20Ihave  I have a friend who has a chandelier that she keeps over her bathtub. How's that for a gothic look? Hehe. One of my favorite chandelier's was the 4th one down on the link I just shared. It looks a little vampirish to me. But that's probably why I like it. And really that seems to be the in look nowadays.

Really, if you want to have some fun I'd urge you to go play on http://www.become.com/ and maybe you'll actually make your dream or wish come true by actually finding and buying an item you can't live without! Good thing Christmas is coming!

I Wanna Talk About Me!

1. Which do you prefer: Vacation or Staycation?
Vacation! But at times it has to be Staycation cause of the mighty dollar.

2. Are you a spontaneous vacationer? In other words, could you take off at a moment’s notice, without making reservations or planning any activities, basically just flying by the seat of you pants?
Yes! But I bet my husband wouldn't like it cause again it would be the money issue.

3. What’s the best vacation you’ve even been on?
I love it when we can go to Lake Tahoe. But I have enjoyed going to Disneyland since I don't remember going when I was a kid. BUT can't bypass the fact that I got to spend a month in Pyatigorsk Russia and another summer where I got to spend a month in Lae Paupa New Guinea.

4. Which did you love more as a kid: Summer vacation, or Christmas vacation?
Summer vacation. Cause I got to go to bible camp and I loved it. One summer I think I spent 4 weeks at various camps. That was heaven.

5. What was the last vacation you went on?
I went to Anaheim with my sisters and Mom to go to Women of Faith. BUT yeah you knew there was a but. I am looking forward to going to Las Vegas to go see friends I haven;'t seen in like a year and a half.

6. Have you ever vacationed somewhere all on your own?
No.

7. What would be your idea of a dream vacation?
I want to go to Hawaii for my 40th. So the hubby better save up! Hehehe. Though I have hinted that I want to do something grand for our 10th which is on Valentine's Day and he's been talking cruise so Woo hoo on that!

8. Do you have a passport (and if you don’t, why the heck not?)
I did. Sadly it experied. Truth be told I don't see myself travelling internationally till the kids are grown or until there's one kid in the house. I would love to go overseas again!

Meet Me Monday

1. How many TV’s do you have in your home?
4. We use to have 6 but two of them died on us. But my MIL's boyfriend is suppose to give us 3 tv's. Yes we are slightly addicted to watching tv or playing games around here.

2. What is on your bedside table (nightstand)?
I don't have a nightstand. Or a bedside table. But I always keep my phone on my bed as it acts like an alarm for me.

3. How many pair of shoes do you own?
I don't know how many shoes I have. I don't own a lot of shoes. 1 pair of tennis shoes and at least 3 shoes that resemble crocs cause I love those slip on shoes.

4. Can you change a flat tire?
No. But that is what my handy dandy husband is for. He was a mechanic before he moved up into management. Though I did tell him he should teach our girls how to change a tire. When he does guess I better sit in and learn to!

5. Do you prefer sweet treats or salty treats?
I love both actually. Depends on the time of the month and my mood! I will bypass sweets at times!

Free Books!

I have seen people participate in Mailbox Monday but I never have. And I don't know if I will but I had to share this. Today in my mailbox I got two free books from Reader Service. From what I can tell it is a branch off of Harlequien Enterprises Limited.  http://www.eharlequin.com/?cmpid=PSSUPSOUT200907260465B&kw=harlequin I am pretty sure I had signed up for a offer from a posting from another blog. But I don't remember which blog to give it credit. Anyways here are the two books I got for free.
Heartless by Diana Palmer and Home in Carolina by Sherryl Woods.

Another book that came thru my mailbox via FedEx was thru Books4Boys Penguin Young Readers Group books4boys@us.penguingroup.com  Again, I filled a offer from another blog posting. Anyways, we had gotten Dragonbreath: Curse of the Wereweiner and it is geared towards 8-12 year old boys in the grades of 3rd to 7th. As I type this my boy is on the couch reading it. He's very excited about it. So obviously Mom did well in getting that!

If any of these interest you I am sure you can go to the site and order them thru that way or order them thru http://www.amazon.com/ Either way, happy reading!

Follow Me Friday

Follow Along Fridays

Join Me On The Mom Road

Five Question Friday

Questions:
1. If you could speak with a different accent, what would it be (i.e Australian, Scottish)?
I have always been drawn to English or Australian accents.

2. Can you fall asleep anywhere? (i.e floor, couch, deck)
I can fall asleep on the couch. Or in a chair if I'm really tired. But in all honesty I prefer my bed with my pillows and my blankets.

3. Do you use public restrooms? If so, do you sit on the toilet?
Yes. And yes. I figured what the heck? If I get an infection we all have to die anyways. Muaaah. I do make sure I wash my hands afterwards though!

4. If you were stuck in an elevator for 24 hours, what celebrity would you most want to be stuck with?
Wow. Hmm. How about Bono. I love his music. He can sing to me for 24 hours. Hehehe.

5. Where did you & your significant other go on your 1st date?
I don't remember our first date. Sad to say. But I do know that one of the places we would frequent would be Lyons since when I would see him was on his way to class for his job and he had to grab a meal before hand. I always seemed to order their Monteray Chicken Sandwich. Yummy.

Just for fun

I browsed thru Amazon.com and these things caught my attention. Either from other bloggers or of my own interest. Figured I'd share my finds with you all. Since we are reminded that Christmas will be here before we know it. And really a lot of us do Swagbucks so why not put those Amazon gift cards to good use?

Yasmine Galenorn is one of my favorite authors. But I haven't been keeping up with her lately. Looks like she has a new series out and it looks good to me! Night Myst is the book I'm refering to.

I belong to Goodreads and one of my groups is going to start Demon. It looks like a intense book and I put it on my wishlist. Who knows when I will get a chance to read it but now its in a place I can reference to.

My son loves his DS. He wished he had a DSI but hey he's lucky he got the DS. I figured this may be a good Christmas present for him and it doesn't break the bank. I'm talking about the Blue Dragon Plus.

The same son loves him some Club Penguin. Again, other game that is reasonably priced.

I was looking thru the son's book order form that he got from school and found some books that appealled to the young girl in me so I figured why not? Hence the Mask Appeal Cinderella Cleaners.

Another book that I found in that book order form that appealled to me. I love anything that is fairy related. So Fairy School Dropout went on my list.

I went and added myself to a blog that is giving this away.
That being 15 min of Diabetic meals. Since I am Type 2 and I sure would love any help I can get in battling that.

The giveaway is good till Oct 1, 2010.

http://thethriftythings.blogspot.com/2010/09/15-minute-diabetic-meals-by-nancy.html

Just in case I do not win? Yeah it went on my Amazon wish list. But I'll remain optimistic!

Hope you had fun in my version of window shopping!

*My wording may be a little off as I was trying to put the pictures together with my words and than that wouldn't work and than I had to fiddle with things to make it look nice. Still learning the techinal side of the blog world!*

I Wanna Talk About Me!

I'm a little late doing this one! But now I have a reminder to hit this again on Monday!

The Questions

1. Are you married? If so, how long?
Yes. It will be 10 years on Valentine's Day 2011

2. In your current (or last) relationship, who used the L word first?
I think my husband has a tendency to use the L word more than me. But I probably was the first one to use it.

3. What is your ultimate romantic date?
Somewhere without the kids. Hahaha. I like Lisa's idea. So I steal it!

4. Weddings: traditional or elope to Vegas?
We did traditonal. But our 10 year is coming up and I'd love to do a vow renewal in something like Reno or Vegas. Cause I think it would be fun and we could go to some crazy chapel.

5. For the married/engaged ladies: did you have a say in your engagement or wedding ring?
Yes. We went and bought the ring together. But I would have liked to have been surprised and I would have liked it if it had been white gold.

6. What first attracts you to the opposite sex?
Personality and how they carry themselves.

7. Do you believe in living with someone before marrying them? What about pre-martial sex?
I really hope my kids don't do that. Because I think it could just lead to heartache. And because I am trying to teach them the Christian walk I believe it goes against God's wishes. But its something I did so I can't really condemn them if they go that route.

8. What do you get for the husband who has everything???
Hahahahahahaha. Use your imaginaton on that one. Mine asks me every year for this. I'll give a hint it involves an intimacy. Hee.

Rock N Roll Fridays

DJ Kathy A says it better than me so I'm copying her words! Enjoy the meme and feel free to play along!

*Hi I'm DJ KathyA! Welcome to Rock 'n Roll Fridays. We are like other memes in that we will ask you thirteen questions each and every Friday. But our little "twist" is that each week we will pick an singer, band, era or category and pick thirteen of their lyrics. Each of our questions will be based on the lyrics. Got it? Great! Let's begin this week's meme!

Today we picked Bob Dylan. The song titles are in bold caps and the lyrics are in bold. Here's Rock 'n Roll Fridays! *

1. TIMES THEY ARE A CHANGIN’ “And there’s no tellin’ who that it’s namin’ for the loser now will be later to win, For the times they are a changin’”

What would you do or play at a Casino?
I usually play the nickel and dime machines. The only table game I have played I think its called Russian Roulette. I probably have that wrong. Obviously I do not go to the casino often.

2. ON DESOLATION ROW “To her, death is quite romantic, She wears an iron vest. Her profession’s her religion, her sin is her lifelessness”

What was the worst job you ever had?
I was a counselor for boys in a group home. It wasn't the boys I had a hard time with it was the boss. It was a live in position and she made my life hell. I didn't last very long there. She constantly berated me and so I wasn't going to stand for that for very long.

3. DON’T THINK TWICE IT’S ALLRIGHT “I ain’t sayin you treated me unkind, you could have done better but I don’t mind. You just kinda wasted my precious time. Don’t think twice it’s all right”

How do you waste your time besides memes?
Hehehe. Well I do play on Facebook to. Watch the shows I have dvr'd. And roleplay on a Mush called Crossroads.

4. IT AIN’T ME BABE “You say you’re lookin for someone, never weak but always strong. To protect you an’ defend you whether you are right or wrong. Someone to open each and every door, It ain’t me babe”

What traits make up the ideal mate for you?
I already have him. He treats me well. For the most part. I know that I am safe to be myself with him and that is very important to me.

5. JUST LIKE A WOMAN “She takes just like a woman, yes she does, she makes love just like a woman, yes she does, and she aches just like a woman, but she breaks just like a little girl”

What woman would make a great president?
Sarah Palin

6. KNOCKIN ON HEAVEN’S DOOR “Mama put my guns in the ground I can’t shoot them anymore, that long black cloud is comin’ down, I feel like I’m knockin’ on Heaven’s door”

Have you ever fired a rifle, handgun or other firearm?
No. But I have thought about how fun it would be to go to a shooting gallery. I think that is what its called. It would defintly be noisy!

7. LIKE A ROLLING STONE “You used to laugh about everybody that was hangin’ out, Now you don’t seem so proud, about havin’ to scrounge for your next meal”

Have you ever been on Welfare (the Dole), or collected Unemployment Insurance Benefits?
Yes.

8. MAGGIE’S FARM “Everybody says she’s the brains behind Pa, She’s 68 but says she’s 24”

When was the last time you lied about your age?
I have never lied about my age. Maybe when I was a kid but not as an adult.

9. MR TAMBORINE MAN “Hey Mr Tamborine Man, play a song for me, I’m not sleepy and there is no place I’m goin’ to. “

Have you ever played a musical instrument?
Yes. I think I was in the 5th grade. I played the alto saxophone.

10. ONE MORE CUP OF COFFEE “One more cup of coffee for the road. One more cup of coffee ‘for I go…to the valley below”

What brand of coffee do you drink and how do you take it?
I'm not a typical coffee drinker. I'm the one that buys those fraps and such at Starbucks. I don't like regular coffee otherwise.

11. ONE TOO MANY MORNINGS “Down the street the dogs are barkin’, and the day is getting’ dark. As the night comes in a fallin, The dogs ‘ll lose their bark”

When was the last time a dog barked near you?
I have two dogs at home and they bark if they see someone walking down the street when we have our door open.

12. SUBTERRANEAN HOMESICK BLUES “Look out kid, don’t matter what you did. Walk on your tip toes, don’t try NO DOZ, better stay away from those”

When you have to stay awake what do you do when you are very sleepy?
I exercise. I ride my exercise bike. Hee.

13. TANGLED UP IN BLUE “I was layin in bed wondrin if she’d changed at all. If her hair was still red…”

What color(s) has your hair been?
Ha. Its been a variety of colors. When I was a kid I went as far as dying it with kool aid. (Thinking it was cool) to a green color but I think all it did was dye my scalp. Nowadays I dye my hair in tradtional dark colors.

Fill In The Blank Friday

1. In the story of my life the actor who would play me would be :  I have no idea. When the Rosanne show was on I was told I laughed like her. So maybe her? No one comes to mind.

2. If I could change one thing about the world it would be:  To not sweat the small stuff. People get mad for minor things. I know easier said than done.
3. Yesterday was melt down city for me. I'm really hoping that this weekend is much better than the week has been. Sad thing is it was my birthday on Monday. But things have been downhill since Tuesday. I guess I just keep pressing on.

4. My favorite comfort food is burritos. I really like the kind that has shredded beef in it, black beans and cheese in it. Can't forget the guac or the sour cream. I usually have it wet to with green sauce. Mmm. I think I just made myself hungry. Heh.

5. My new favorite blog find is : That's not fair. I love all the blogs I have come across. I've really enjoyed the humor that some of the bloggers have. And the information. Two that come in mind for me are.
http://www.centsableshoppin.com/ and

6. If I could meet any blog friend (who I haven't met yet) in real life, I'd choose to meet I'm still new to the blogging world. Even though techinally I had this blog in 2007 I didn't become serious with it till August of this year. So I don't know who I would like to meet. Though I like the thought of being able to go to one of the many blogging conferences one year.

7. My favorite breakfast food is Its a breakfast I get at Nations or just in general when we go out to eat for breakfast. Ham, scrambled eggs, toast and hash browns. Sometimes I replace the toast with French Toast. Mmm.

Queen's Meme

I didn't realize that this comes out on Tuesday. So next time I'll post this on the apporiate day.

Onwards to the Meme;
The Change Meme
Norman Vincent Peale said, "Change your thoughts and you change your world." It was interesting to see how many meanings I could find for the word "change".....some are serious, some are silly. Have fun!

1. Name one thing you'd like to change about yourself.
My temper.

2. If you could wave a magic wand and be done with all the small petty nuisances in your life, what you would have "be gone" first?
Haha that's dangerous to answer. On really bad days I'm sure if your a Mom you would know what I'm thinking about.

 3. Do you collect and save your spare change in a jar?
No.

4. Change your world. What is our biggest concern as a global humanity?
I'm not exactly sure what this means or how to answer it but I'll give it a shot. I think we as the United States plays to much of a Big Brother to other places when we should be more concerned about our own issues and the problems we have here first.

5. What would you have changed about your last relationship or the one you're in now?
I am married to my longest relationship. The only thing I would change is the man's hours. Working graveyard sucks.

6. If you could reverse the course of history in a time machine, what would you do and how do you think the world would be different today?
There are a few things I can think of that I wish never happened. Like slavery or the holocaust. My only hope is that because those things did happen that people would have learned from those instances and NEVER AGAIN do something like that. But than again we do have the issue of human trafficking and who knows what else.

7. Who would you like to change into a toad?
Hahahaha. Is it bad that my inlaws popped in my head? *sigh*

8. What is the first thing you change into when you get home from work?
I am a SAHM so this is my work place. But when I do go out like church or running errands or what not when I am home for the night I usually change into my pj's or lounge pants.

9. If you could change places with anyone in the world for one day, who would that be?
I don't have a particular person in mind. But I wonder how it would be like to be single again with no responsiblites. Don't get me wrong. I love my life now. But sometimes when things are crazy I defintly go into that mode of 'the grass is greener on the other side.'

10. Have you ever heard the expression "turn over a new leaf?" What is under your old one?
Grudges.

11. Name one thing that can cause you to immediately change your mood.
The love from my boy. He'll tell me he loves me or gives me a hug and everything is so much better.

12. What have you recently (or ever) had a change of heart about? And why?
I have a love and hate relationship with my dogs. I didn't want them but we got them cause the girls begged for them and said they would take care of them. Yada yada. But I felt bad for them today and gave them extra attention and bathed them than let them hang out on our deck. I do not think its right for family pets to stay in the crate all day just cause no one else wants to take care of them. The thing is this is what I was afraid of happening. Oh well.

13. When is the last time you changed the oil in your car?
My husband does that! He even writes on the upper windshield of our van when he did it last so he keeps his own personal record

30 Day Blog Journal #9

Day 9 A Photo You Took

We went to Red Robin for my birthday as I had gotten a coupon where I got a free burger. I took this picture of my son as he loves himself some mac n cheese!

Day 14 Worst Advice

The one advice I hated was  just let them cry it out. I just couldn't do it. Maybe it would have been good to do it and maybe it worked for others but when my baby would start to cry I would pick up her or him. I was their mom. I was going to make them feel safe. I mean if they were suppose to go to sleep maybe I let them cry for a little bit but if it wouldn't stop I would have picked them up.

Day 13 Sound Advice

The one advice I remember was from my youth minister. I was going off to college. He reminded me of this. I'm basically going to summerize it as its been many years since I was a college student. The general jist of it was that its great to make the grades etc for your classes but its the friendships and the relationships you make that are more important. I really think that's true. Because years from now grades won't matter as much as the kind of relationships you have with others. There were many times I stayed up late to talk with a friend who had a crisis or just needed to talk. I haven't regretted any of those times.

30 Days of Insight Day 22

As I warned I will jump around on these Day Meme's. Anyways here's my answer

Day 22- Someone you would give your life up for without question.

It is a toss up for me. It wouldn't be just one person. At this time I can say I would give up my life for my daughter, son and husband. I want to say I would do the same for my step son and step daughter but I have been hurt by them tremendlsy that I am a little selfish in that. But knowing me if I was in a situation where it came to my family or me I would defintly choose my family. The latter two included.

Alright here is where I ramble a little bit. When I had gotten married I eagerly took on the two older and saw all the kids as ours. But with recent events I feel like I have to cut myself off from them. I was reminded tonight that they are my other two kids siblings.  I would never deny that. But I also know I need to protect myself. I'm not willing to hang myself out there all the time and feeling victimized by the older two. Whoever made up the term blended families? Well that's crap. It takes a very long time for a family to blend if ever. There's always going to be problems. No matter what kind of relationship you have with who. I've been with my husband for 10 years and I figured oh we got it made. Not so. Parenting defintly takes a toll on a marriage. Especially if you marry with kids. But for now I'll keep reminding myself its a season and soon I'll be able to go on these extragavant trips I dream about with the man.

Keepin' Company Thursday

One of the hosts Heck of a Bunch has had a heck of a day. Let's put a smile to her face by linking our blogs to her hop!

Thirsty Thursday

For The Love Of 4

TYVM

This is something new to me. Its been a trying week so I figured it was apporiate for me to play along!

Daily Dribble's words:

It's Free Therapy Day!! That's right, it's Thursday, which means it's the Thank You Very Much day. The way it works is that you take out all your frustrations on people/things that peeved you off during the week and thank them in a very sarcastic way, for being who or what they are/doing what they did. I know everyone can use some free therapy, so go ahead and type yours out

Thank you very much to the 16 year old who thinks its cool to steal alchol. But obviously he didn't think he would get caught and doesn't like the consquences. Well duh what did you think would happen? Everyone would jump up and down and sing hallejuiah? Uh yeah right.

Thank you very much to the lady who cut me off as I was existing my son's school and trying to take the middle schoolers to school. A good thing I was awake enough to swerve you. Stupid head.

Thank you very much to the 9 year old who thought it would be funny to put his dinner in water. Well obviously you saw we were not laughing that much.

I'm sure I'll have more to say as time goes on so I'll leave it with those three. I hope you have a great Thursday! Weekend is right around the corner.

Hehehe

I know there's an explosion of Meme's and Blog Hops lately. Especially today. But wow there are so many cool ones out there.  But I have come to the conclusion with the stress my life is giving me at this time doing the meme's and the hops make me happy. Got to find it somewhere right?  Thank goodness it IS Wednesday. Just means its closer to the weekend. How I love me some weekend time. Any exciting plans? I'll probably go to a soccer game Saturday night. (Kid related) otherwise not certain what else is planned. Oh yeah, church on Sunday. We might go help in a soup kitchen. The husband wants to show the girl how lucky she is in having the things she does. So guess that means Friday will be vegging and watching tv or something like that! Hope all is well with you and yours!

A Wee Bit Of Me Wednesdays

I missed this last week. But here I am doing it again! Feel free to join in.

{one} what is your happiest childhood memory?

I didn't have the greatest childhood. But the one shining moment in my life was in the summer when I could go to bible camp. It was the greatest time for me.

{two} what is your middle name?

Ann

{three} what’s the habit you’re most proud of breaking?
Ummm...I never really had a bad habit. Habits I wish I could break is when I get mad I would curse. I wish I wouldn't do that. I also have a tendency to eat when I'm stressed. So in otherwords I haven't had a habit I broke. Well in my adult years.

{four} what do you order when you order chinese food?
I love me some mongolian beef. Usually since I'm with the husband and kids sweet and sour chicken or pork gets orded, steamed rice, chicken chow mein and brocolli beef. That seems to be the staple.

{five} what’s the best bargain you’ve ever found at a garage sale or thrift store?
I'm not that big on garage sales or thrift stores. But I know in the grocery store I scored free milk and I was so excited about that.

{six} what’s the best costume you’ve ever worn?
I don't know if it was the best costume but the one I remember wearing when I was a kid was a barbie costume. This was totally old school since I had a plastic mask on my face to.

{seven} who’s your favorite game show host?
The guy from Jeopardy. Don't watch a lot of game shows.

{eight} what’s your favorite breakfast food?
Waffles

{nine} what’s your least favorite word?
Nig. I know my daughter uses it as a term of affection but it drives me up the wall cause all I can think of is how it has racist connotations with it.

{ten} describe something that happened to you for which you have no explanation.
I don't remember any experiences like that. But one experience that was shared with me was what my husband experienced. He had lost his first wife as she had passed on. After she died he and his Mom were hanging out at home taking care of the two kids who happened to be sick. He had a tyenol bottle or something on the table and it was put back where  the medicines had to go and neither he or his Mom did it. The impression I had gotten from that story was that the 1st wife put it away to keep from the kids getting into it as they were quite small. (2 and 3) at the time.
